1st annual RAKart Day – Sunday, June 6, 2014 – Worldwide
As artists we often feel as if we shouldn’t “give away” our art, or that we should charge more for it, etc. etc.
At the same time, we are often doing our art to change the world, to make the world a better place, to lift people’s spirits and inspire them. Now this isn’t always the case, but from all the of artists I have talked to, this seems to be what they are trying to do with their art (besides the fact that they just can’t live without it).
So here at Artist Synergy we are going to start a new movement, RAKart (random acts of kindness with art). You have all heard of Pay it Forward and of Random Acts of Kindness and all sorts of similar movements. The purpose of these movements is to do nice things for people, help people, make people smile, and in general make the world a better place.
Let’s take to the streets with our ART and spread the love! Print out 100 copies of your poetry and go pass them out, print out prints of your photos and go pass them out, even if to just one person. Pass out CDs, or cards to download a free song. Pass out paintings or drawings, or prints of your paintings or drawings. Give away some free necklaces or jewelry. Make some inspirational or validating cards and pass them out.
SPREAD THE ART!
Please invite all your friends to this event and then on the day of the event, take to the streets and spread the art! Take pictures, make videos, share your stories and hashtag #RAKart. Let’s see what a difference we can make with our art!
